Bloody Shins Trail with a Basque Feel.
If you are a die-hard outdoors person I have just the perfect day for you. Winnemucca is famous for it's Bloody Shins Trail. Get ready to spend your day outdoors. These trails welcome mountain bikers, hikers, and even horse riders. If you just want to take in the scenic views, basque in with the beautiful view of this city.

Winnemucca has a lot of history. It has it's own Chinatown that dates back to the late 1800's when many Chinese were laborers on the construction of the railroad. Many left but several hundred stayed and created their own community. Today it is mostly a mining town.

Don't miss the Buckaroo Hall of Fame. If you're a fan of the Old West, you'll like this neat place filled with memorabilia including traditional working gear from the ranch, original artwork including paintings, sculpture and drawing. It's open daily from 8 am to 5 pm (closed from noon to 1 for lunch).
